WINES ATE THE CROSSROADS BETWEEN MODERNITY AND TRADITION

At the crossroads between modernity and tradition, Tecedeiras is an iconic Douro brand, one of the first in the region to go beyond Port production and produce stunning red table wines. Tradition abounds on these steep terraces winding along the rugged valley where we hand-harvest a huge variety of native grapes that are the heart and soul of our Douro wines and unfiltered Ports – a Tawny Reserve, an LBV and, in exceptional years, a Vintage. Our non-fortified wines – fresh whites and smooth reds – are characterized by complexity, elegance and power: all hallmarks of the Tecedeiras brand.

THE RIVER THAT DEFINES OUR IDENTITY

Tecedeiras brand emerges from the rugged vineyards of Cima Corgo, in S. João da Pesqueira area, which represents the Douro valley imaginary so well. Adding to these vineyards we have selected parcels of old vineyards from Sabrosa area, always with the Douro River in the middle of these breathtaking landscapes. Quality is the common denominator because we know that only from the best vines and viticulture we can reach the best product, reaching the high level of the Tecedeiras wines. Douro is beauty, poem, and mystery. Just like a bottle of Tecedeiras.

TECEDEIRAS PREMIUM

According to Rui Cunha, the brand winemaker, Tecedeiras premium line came to strengthen the brand among consumers. From the traditional monovarietals, to the Grande Reserva these are exclusive wines filled with beauty and character. Every year, the viticulture and winemaking teams make a different wine labeled as Libertas and in special years, we release the “Único” (as in Unique). A wine made from an unparalleled blend using artisanal methods that make it something really exclusive.

FLOR DAS TECEDEIRAS

Douro is synonymous with schist soils, warm summer weather and rigorous winters. It’s in this unique terroir in the Douro valley that we produce our Flor das Tecedeiras. From inebriating aromas, ripen black fruits and balsamic notes, these are food friendly wines with balanced tannins for everyday consumption.

TECEDEIRAS RESERVA

Tecedeiras Reserva is a wine with a big personality and great ageing capacity. With a deep rubi color and intense aromas. Complex and profound showing off red berries, vegetal notes and spices. In the mouth we have a full bodied wine with a big fruity explosion, excellent structure, fine tannins and a persistent finish. A wine for moments of celebration.

TECEDEIRAS PORTO

Tecedeiras Port Wines are concentrated, complex and gastronomic. In the nose, they show great complexity and elegance. In the mouth, we have velvety textures crossing with memories of wild honey, country flowers and nuts. Its sweetness is always affirmative and balanced with a nice acidity.
